David Moore is sharing his human being flag with Willie Nelson Peace Research Institute and all the good folks who stop by for a visit in hopes of offering a vision that will connect all of us. David is offering an opportunity to change negative behavior through conscious awareness of a basic truth.
We are all human beings.
With this awareness he hopes we will choose to act in kind loving ways. Seems simple enough. Peace doesn’t have to be complicated. David wants us to see we have one essential commonality.
We are all equal.
When we decide to acknowledge this fact our shared understanding will allow us to overlook differences. If we embrace this fact at a deep level our compassion will deepen and peace will emerge through a unity of vision.
We are all brothers and sisters.
Yes, maybe it’s too easy to forget in our busy lives that we are all the same at this basic level. We are conditioned to look for differences. It’s a habit. Let’s kick the habit and begin to think in different ways. We just have to remember what we have in common.
The human being flag reminds us.
David says,”First thing I would like to say is my project is not about me. It’s about the purpose.
“I have seen so much stereotyping all over the place people quick to judge or label. Wow, it is so disheartening. There is so much underlying prejudice, injustice and the inhumane things that we do everyday. I wanted to make a point a focus point where maybe for just one moment, we all could just remember what we all are. We are all human beings.
“Maybe if we could just start there, and realize that we are all the same. We are all equal. We may not have equal opportunities and for that I am saddened. But as human beings we are all equal. I have never seen anyone look like the 4 colors that we all have come from however I am just using them as symbols.
“I thought that maybe when people see the flag and had read the purpose for that moment we all would remember. The more we see the flag maybe we would change our ways toward each other.”
I am not a Color.
I am not a Race.
I am not a country.
I am not a Nation.
I am not a number.
I AM A HUMAN BEING.
David closes by saying, “The more we see the flag and remember we will have more Peace.”
